1955 Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster

This beautiful Speedster is one of the last Pre-A examples to leave the factory and as such benefitted from being equipped with the more desirable 1600cc engine whilst featuring the attractive early dash and iconic beehive tail lights. The cars previous custodian owned the Speedster for over 40 years and was a well-known and highly active Californian member of the Porsche Club of America. The car has a substantial history file from his ownership going back to 1978, including numerous invoices and records of the work he carried out.

Recently, the car was the subject of a bare metal repaint in its original colour of Ruby Red, as per the accompanying factory certificate of authenticity and at the same time the car received new hood, tonneau cover and side screens in black to match the interior. The engine lid, bonnet hinge and doors all retain their correct factory stampings.
