Thursday 6th March 2025 marks the opening of the Amelia Island Concours. This year is the 30th Anniversary of the first running of the event in 1996. What differentiated Amelia Island from the outset was a focus on integrating motorsport into the concours format. Stirling Moss was guest of honour for the first year and a strong showing of competition cars remains to this day.
The build up to the main event on Sunday includes Saturday’s increasingly popular RADwood section for 80’s and 90’s cars – over 200 entrants this year. 275 significant vehicles will make up the classes for Sunday’s concours proper, hoping to emulate last year’s Best in Show winner – the 1947 Delahaye 135MS by Figoni & Falaschi.
