A cornerstone of London Motor Week, RM Sotheby’s London auction returns to the exquisite setting of The Peninsula London in 2025. The sale -renowned for its atmosphere, quality, and exceptional consignments – takes place on the eve of the celebrated London to Brighton Veteran Car Run and is presented in partnership with the Royal Automobile Club.
As ever, the sale will offer a discerning selection of significant automobiles – from historic treasures to modern collectibles. From a 1900 Mignonette Voiturette to a 2024 Aston Martin Valkyrie there is something to appeal to collectors of any era from the history of the motorcar. Of particular note and personal favourites are the 1937 Alfa Romeo 2900B and a 2 owner, 5000 mile Ferrari F40.
Brian Classic & Company also have a personal link to lot 136, the 1932 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport – a stunning Touring-bodied 5th Series spider. In the late 70’s, recognising the car’s quality, we purchased it from Alfa enthusiast Russell Abrahams before selling it to the late David Black some time later to join his impressive collection of pre-war Alfa’s.
